MICHAEL B. JORDAN
I just think there's a serious lack of Michael B. Jordan-ness on Tumblr. Hope there are people who agree with me!

Note: I am NOT Michael.

'Parenthood': Michael B. Jordan Returning

Parenthood fans looking for more Alex and Haddie, you’re in luck.

Michael B. Jordan, who plays the easy-going Alex opposite Sarah Ramos’ Haddie Braverman, has signed on to return to the NBC series in a recurring role for the drama’s upcoming third season.

“I love the show and working with NBC and there’s not a reason for me not to come back,” Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter. “I love working with Peter [Krause], Sarah and Monica [Potter]; it’s like being in another family environment that’s very similar to Friday Night Lights.”

Michael B Jordan replaces Drake as Jace in Gears of War 3

The Gears of War 3 voicecast sees a bit of shake up as hip-hop artist Drake is replaced by actor Michael B Jordan (no relation to the legendary basketball player).

The news was confirmed via Cliff Bleszinski’s Twitter account. Jordan currently can be seen in the TV Shows Friday Night Lights and Parenthood but has been in everything from The Sopranos to All My Children to Burn Notice.

This is Jace’s first appearance in Gears of War 3 but he has made appearances in Gears of War novels and comic books.

No reason was revealed for the change in the voice-acting class other than to say the role had been recast.

Other notable new voice actors in Gears of War 3 include Ice-T as Griffin and Claudia Black as Sam. They join the returning voice cast that includes John Di Maggio as Marcus Fenix, Lester Speight as Cole, Carlos Ferro as Dom and Nan McNamara as Anya.

Michael B. Jordan and Alex Russell join Dane DeHaan in teen sci-fi thriller “Chronicle”

Sci-fi thriller “Chronicle” has apparently completed casting on its trio of leads, as Variety reports that relatively unknown young actors Michael B. Jordan and Alex Russell have joined Dane DeHaan in the Fox project.

The story centers around three Portland teenagers who are exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods and subsequently develop superpowers. They begin to work together to hone their new skills but soon find themselves turning on each other. Though Variety doesn’t specify, presumably DeHaan, Jordan and Russell will play the teenagers. Fox bought the Max Landis script last August and Josh Trank, who will be making his directorial debut, will shoot the film documentary style in the vein of “Paranormal Activity” or “Cloverfield”.

Jordan (no relation to that basketball player you may have heard of) was a series regular on the last two seasons of critically acclaimed NBC series “Friday Night Lights” and recently completely filming indie “Red Tails”. Russell only has a few small indies under his belt – mostly in his native Australia, including the buzzy “Wasted on the Young” and shark attack thriller “Bait” opposite “Twilight” star Xavier Samuel. “Chronicle” will mark his American studio debut.

prodded by Katie McGrath.: oh my fucking god.

The fifth no-holds-barred flag football game will take place Saturday in Dallas in a specially constructed 10,000 seat stadium, complete with a regulation size sand-filled football field. Per the release, the festivities, which kick off with an hour-long pre-game show at 1:30 p.m. CT, feature a first: Glee‘s Matthew Morrison and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez have been tapped as “celebrity assistant coaches” to the real coaches, the New York Giants’ Eli Manning and the Cleveland Browns’ Colt McCoy. Warren Moon and Jesse Palmer will serve as quarterbacks, and in addition to other NFL greats, we’ll see the following stars suit up (and by that, I assume we mean strip down):

Josh Duhamel, Chace Crawford, Kellan Lutz, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Chord Overstreet, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Hunter Parrish, Michael B. Jordan, Dominic Fumusa, Brie Larson, and Marisa Miller. The game and post-show concert by Maroon 5 will air live on DirecTV’s The 101 Network, and, for the first time ever, will also be broadcast in 3D on DirecTV’s n3D powered by Panasonic. Additionally, the game will be broadcast on all of Fox Sports Network’s Regional Sports Networks and affiliates and DirecTV’s Regional Sports Networks, more than 25 networks in total.
